How many memories can one person keep?
How many of those memories can they keep a secret?

The worst secret to keep hidden from others is your past.
Your childhood is precious, your teen years are invigorating.
And the rest is just a failed attempt at living a new life.

The rest of your life is what you learned through your past.
It shaped you, it shaped your every action and thought.
Without those struggles and lucky times, you would have nothing to learn from.

I learned that I can not ever escape what happened as a child.
It can never be forgotten, or kept a secret from myself.
Those memories will fade into my personality as they already have.

Promises were made to everyone involved that I was okay.
But I broke those promises over and over again.

Those experiences as a child dedicated a better life as a teen.
Only up until now can a feel a shift in how I think.
I can be wild, to an extent. I am who I am, to an extent.

Hopefully I will find someone who can see those secrets, and dissect them, and then compare to how they have changed me.
But till then My memories remain a secret.
